The Durrow Celtic High Cross is found in Co. Offaly. The High Cross at Durrow was part of a monastery founded by St. Columba in 553 AD. The cross itself stands 3.6m tall and is estimated to date from the 9th century. Scenes depicted on this cross include Christ with Sceptre and Cross Staff and Abraham sacrificing his son Isaac.
1 1/4" x 3/4" with a double sided design based on the actual high cross that can still be seen in Ireland today!
