This piece uses Celtic trinity knot interlaced to form a circular brooch. Within the weaving there appear to be six small trinity knot which are knotted together.
This highly polished sterling silver plated pewter brooch incorporates Celtic knot work, with its "overs and unders" representing the "ups and downs" of life; and the unbroken continuity of the endless ribbon symbolizes the hope of eternal life.
As such, they are considered by many as a talisman of long life.
